Binary fission and budding, both are asexual reproduction process. In binary fission, cell divide into two in which both daughter cells are same sized. But in budding process, cell divide asexually into unequal size where small sized cell (bud) remain attached to large sized cell (mother cell) till it split. Mostly, budding is studied in eukaryotic yeast but some bacteria also reproduce asexually by budding. Examples: Planctomycetes, Cyanobacteria, Firmicutes and the prosthecate Proteobacteria.
