1. Specific genome sequencing is known as sequencing a specific functional part of a short neucleotide sequence from the whole genome of a organism.

Whole genome sequencing is known as the making sequence of the whole genome of the organism.

Comparison:

• Benefit: Sequencing a single specific genome is very easy and less time consuming process rather than sequencing the whole genome.
• Disadvantage: (a) Single specific genome sequencing does not able to give idea about the evolutionary changes occured in the organism but we can know this by sequencing the whole genome.

(b) Some times there are more important sequence are present in the organism or virus genome which are responsible for the expression of some proteins which are necessary for interacting with the human or other host genome.And will be undiscovered if we sequence a single specific gene.

2.It is always necessary for us to know the origin or source of any particual infectious disease or zoonotic virus came from or the intermediate host.If we can know about the source or the intermediate host then we will be able to prevent that disease from seeding a new epidemic by stopping it at its origin or by making the host incompatible to that infectious disease..Not only that we also can change some of the human pratices to prevent the disease.

For examle, if we can know the source or origin of COVID-19,HIV,EBOLA,Nipha then we can prevent or kill them at their point of origin.Even we can stop it from spreading if we can know the proper host or mode of action of these diseases.Not only that if we know the proper mode of action and infection then adapting some pratices we can prevent them from harming or infecting us and prevent from seeding new epidemic.
