There are two (2) Parts to this case.

 

The First part (Part 1) requires you to use the information to:

1.    Build a Bill of Material (BOM) form the given information

2.    Determine the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and

3.    Complete the MRP for all parts including the product.

 

 

 

The Second Part (Part 2) will require you to use an indexed BOM to

1.    Create the correct MPS from the provided information

2.    create the MRP for the unit and all of its assemblies/components

 

Part 1: BOM and MRP (25 marks)

 

Product XYZ is described as follows: Quantity of each assembly/component is in (brackets)

 

XYZ are made up of assemblies A(3), B, & C(2)

 

Assembly A contains D(2), E(2), & F(3)

 

Assembly B contains part H(2)

 

Assembly C contains parts G(2) & E(2)

  1. Create a product structure tree (Multilevel BOM):       (5 marks)

 

Using Blank MRP sheets,

 

  1. Create a level loaded (discreet, with no remnants) plan      for XYZ’s based on a MPS of 40 per week (plan must be a minimum of 8      weeks).level 0 MPS  (2 marks)

  2. Create and complete an MRP plan for each item in the product tree. (18 marks)
