Answer #1

Loal factors that influence corals distribution are

1.coral grow usually grow in shallow water of less than 150 ft, as sunlight is necessary for these corals to grow.

2.clear water. Clear water allows light to reach the algae living within the corals.

3.Warm ocean temperatures 20 to 28 degree celcius and areas having strong wave action. Waves carry food, nutrients, and oxygen to the reef. Waves also distribute coral larvae and also prevent sediment from settling on the coral reef.

4.shallow tropical water having high salinity and high temperature.

Factors that effect global distribution are.

1.Latitude and temperature.

Tropical zone located between 30º N and 30º S latitude and with a preferred temperature rof 28 to 29 degree celcius.

2.Hydrodynamic conditions such as the winds, currents and waves.
