Answer #1

right choice is B) No, the t procedure would not be appropriate.

The plot called Normal is the normal quantile plot for a normal distribution and appears as a diagonal linear pattern. here it is not diagonal linear so samples are not coming from the normal distribution.

since for the t-test sample should be from normal distribution so t-procedure is not appropriate/applicable.

A)The data were collected in a study conducted in a semiconductor manufacturing plant. In this plant the finished semiconductor is wire bonded to a frame. The goal of the study was to relate a pull strength to a wire length and a die height. The variables obtained for each subject were a pull strength (a measure of the amount of force required to break a bond), a wire length, and a height of a die. What is the type of...

TufStuff, Inc., sells a wide range of drums, bins, boxes, and other containers that are used in the chemical industry. One of the company's products is a heavy-duty corrosion-resistant metal drum, called the WVD drum, used to store toxic wastes. Production is constrained by the capacity of an automated welding machine that is used to make precision welds. A total of 2,080 hours of welding time is available annually on the machine. Because each drum requires 0.4 hours of welding...
