The two approaches to disciplinary action are:
- Judicial approach- in this approach the nature of the offence is judged by the evaluation of the evidence and then steps are followed to solve it as per the procedure of discipline in the judiaciary laws. The offender gets an opportunity to defend himself by providing his evidences and the procedure of natural justice is followed.
- Human relations approach- In this approach the offender is given much human treatment.His offence is judged in a lenient manner keeping in consideration the offenders reasons to make the offence and seeing the scenario from his point of view. Decision is also made keep in view his interests.
Grievance procedure is a procedure implemented to address the grievance of an employee caused due to misinterpretation or misapplication of a policy of the company or agreement that has been bargained collectively.It is a procedure to resolve the internal dispute of any organization. Collective barganing agreements include procedures of how the grievances will be resolved. The procedure will be by involving the employee, the union members and the management team concerned. There are forms for filling the grievances by the employees and they are given to the immediate supervisor by the employee. He will then analyze the grievance along with the union representative to decide its genuinity. The grievance can come to three types of results. It can be resolved, it may not be considered valid or it may be partly solved and passed on to the next step of the process.
