Answer #1

a. meiosis in a gamete producing cell in one of the Generation II plants. Its during prophase 1 of meiosis that crossingover takes place so the rcombinaton should have occured in the gamet producing cells off generation II plants.

A crossing over in the gamet producing cells of generation I plants would have lead to a parental phenotype in the generation II plants, so the recombinants skipped a generation., Its like double crossing over a generation.

question b-f please thank you 12:52 PM Mon Apr 13 78% B06 Draw a diagram to represent the equational division of meiosis for a diploid organism with three heterologous chromosomes. One acrocentric, one metacentric and one telocentric. The diagram should show the chromosomes as you'd expect to see them during metaphase. The organism is trihybrid and heterozygous for dominant and recessive alleles at three different loci. Locus A is on the telocentric chromosome. Locus B is on the metacentric chromosome....

Information Flag question Information text You are consulting with a family where sometimes a mutation that leads to deafness (D) and a mutation that predisposes individuals to early heart failure (H) are linked.  Normally these two traits sort independently but, in some individuals, a reciprocal translocation has moved them to the same chromosome. The chromosome maps for an individual with two normal chromosome pairs (Normal Arrangement), and a translocation heterozygote (Translocation Arrangement) are shown below. Deafness and early heart failure are...

Which of the following statement(s) are TRUE? I. The F1 plants can only produce purple and wrinkled kernels when selfcrossed. II. If the parent that produces yellow and...
