In my opinion, the need for achievement is the biggest drive in terms of providing the necessary motivation I need to fuel every endeavor I undertaker. Yes, it helps me achieve my goals since it makes being competitive a more fundamental understanding. What it would mean is that no matter the nature, complexity or significance of any given task, I tend to perform it to the best of my ability so that I feel a sense of achievement when it bears the results of hard work and continuous efforts. It also forms a competitive understanding which enables me to work harder in the face of competition, providing a better perspective and outlook in my professional life. I would not want to make any changes to the need states as I believe that the sense of achievement provides a recognizable aspect, confidence, competency and commitment which would not be as much in the case of any other choice I make.
