Market segmentation is important then only the marketing plan can be decided. The plan has to cater to the need of the audience. If the audience demands neeche quality then even the product needs to marketed as such so that it clicks the correct audience and creates it's buzz.

Audi has first segmented it's target audience and has done marketing of it's vehicle accordingly
