Name three different host physiological or anatomical variables that can influence the host microbiota composition
The different physiological variables that can influence the host microbiota composition are as follows:
1. Temperature- The physiological pH of humans is 37 degree celsius which is ideal for the growth of microorganisms and develop the microbiota of the organism.
2. Varying pH - The human body provides different levels of pH at different sites of body which promotes the growth of many different types of organisms in the body and build the microbial composition.
3. Nutrition and surface area- The microorganisms get nutrition from the food eaten by humans. The microorganisms break down the food into its monomeric forms and then feed on them. It helps them to flourish.
Hope it helps, Good luck !!!!
