Silent Mutation: this is the mutation in which a nucleotide get changed due to the mutation but that will not change the amino acid. In other words final amino sequence will not get changed and no phenotypic change due to change in a single nucleotide.

Point Mutation: A mutation in which a single nucleotide base get inserted or deleted that will eventually affect the downstream protein sequence after translation.

Missense mutation: It is type of mutation in which change in nucleotide base results into change in codon and eventually change in amino acid.
