The great hunger of Ireland did fall under the level of genocide. This is because It is a deliberate act of the British Government in delaying the export of livestock and food crops. It is important to mention that Britain followed a policy that is based on ethnicity and race and it targetted the Irish people.
It is a fact that the act of British government is considered as an act of mass starvation and according to the Hague convention of 1948, the act is a genocide.
