The fact that Eric Morin started drinking in high school is a factor which had made him more susceptible to heroin addiction. Alcohol has been found to be a gateway for the use and abuse if other serious drugs, and research has concluded that almost more than half of the Individuals who were drug addicts had a previous history of Adolescent alcoholism. It has also been found from retrospective studies that alcoholism in early life has been associated with the readyness to experiment with more serious drugs in later life.
