The advantages of robotic surgery are -

Robotic surgery is less harmful as in it, patients feels less pain and the recovery time is also low. Surgeries that generally takes the longer time can be easily completed within a single or two days. Robotic surgeries are more accurate than the surgeries done by orthopedics, neurologists etc. Such kind of surgeries required high level of accuracy. One mistake during the surgery can cause the great harm to the patient and even can lead to his death.This kind of mistakes doesn't happen in robotic surgery.Robotic surgery provides relief to the surgeon as surgeon has to just sit comfortably while robot is operating..It decreases the fatique of the surgeon.

The disadvantages of the robotic surgery are -

Robotic surgery are generally expensive. As it is a machine, it involves high cost which also increases the cost of the surgery process.Not only installing the robot is expensive, but also maintaining and training it is also expensive.Latency is the major issue while performing the robotic surgery. The connection between the robotic arm and the computer takes time to establish. It makes it difficult for the surgeon to examine the operation.
