What unsafe conditions may cause accidents at the workplace? Suggest some remedies to eliminate or minimize such conditions.
The biggest reason for the unsafe working condition and environment is the ignorance of security standard and procedure set by government by the management as well as staff. The staff is more ignorance than the management itself. This is the biggest reason for the accidents at the workplace
Lowering the cost is another reason for the unsafe environment. The companies compete into the market and try to lower their cost as much as possible. Since the adhering to the government regulation is cost to company hence the companies ignore the law. That leads to unsafe environment and accidents.
In order to eliminate the risk of the accidents the management should adopt the safety to their culture. By this way the risk of accident could be minimized. Further the companies should consider the safety and security as a cost saving tool not a cost burden. This is because due to safety and security the absenteeism and leave due to accident is reduced and the productivity of the employees are increased. That ultimately leads to profit.
There should be proper training as per the norms and the employees should be motivated and monitored for taking safety precautions.
