When we consider leadership values, functions, and
effectiveness, we attribute the entirety of the purpose as being
able to motivate the employees to perform the necessary tasks as
effectively as possible. Different leaders take a different
approach to achieve the same functions, and this is where the
concept of leadership effectiveness comes forward. The
consideration for a leader of being able to make use of effective
communication becomes a necessity to bring all their functions
together. Not only does it enable them to build strong
relationships but also set expectations and create shared goals for
every individual in the workforce. Open communication and effective
leadership, therefore, go hand in hand. The crossover between open
communication practices and effective leadership can be seen within
a workforce where the employees have clear expectations established
with the help of open communication policies employed by the
leaders, converting performance and indicating a two-way feedback
mechanism for productive dialogue to occur. We also see the more
dynamic interpersonal relationship between the leadership and the
workforce, where ideas and creativity are encouraged, leading to
innovation. Such a team, governed by a strong and effective leader

collaboration, consistency and commitment to achieving the goals of
