BRV-PV is a live virus vaccine that replicates to some extent. How might you use genetic engineering to make a safer rotavirus vaccine? Note: the virus capsid is composed of 4 different proteins.

For developing genetic engineering to make safer rotavirus vaccine. The following steps should be performed:

* The rota virus antigen protein is extracted. Now isolate those part of protein which is recognised by immune cells in the body.

* Now by means of biotechnology, make mRNA corresponding to that gene.

* Now, by means of reverse transcriptase make cDNA corresponding to that.

* Finally insert these gene in genome of an organism. In this way it will become transgenic . You can use human cell for this purpose.

* Now when genome is expressed, then this part of gene is also expressed which will leads to produce immune response against these antigenic particles but there is no harm effect on body because only recognition part of antigen is added in genome.
