Answer #1

Significant institutional development of science was taking place and terminologies establishing their boundaries between the scientific and non scientific two fields which used to give the terms like ok science and pseudo science during the 19th century . The term scientific method was started during this century only. This term has become more popular in use in the 20th century.
Scientific method is part of the scientific investigation. Scientific investigation is carried out to prove a logical theory or to find out a solution for a logical question evening scientific method of experiments. Science is the systematic study of both physical and living world by observations, readings and carrying out experiments. Hypothesis is a proposed explanation for some observed phenomena based on the theoretical knowledge or experience or research. Thus, the scientific method is is a process which involves systematic way off measurable observations by carrying out experiments to formulate or to test or modify a hypothesis. So, by being part of scientific investigation the scientific methods or used to develop better models and explanations for the benefit of the living world and mankind.
There are different fields are subjects in science. Thus, the procedures of scientific method vary from one field to another. Although the procedures vary from one field to another, they are almost similar from one to another, such as making hypothesis, deriving predictions from the hypothesis, carrying out experiments and then making empirical observations based on those predictions. The hypothesis may be specific or very broad also which has to be e tested with experiments or studies. Hypothesis must be falsifiable which implies that it is possible to identify a possible outcome of an experiment for an observation that may conflict with the predictions deduced from the actual hypothesis, otherwise the hypothesis cannot be meaningfully tested.
The experiment is intended to prove weather the observations agree with or contrary to the predictions that are derived from hypothesis. There are many difficulties in making a formulaic statement of method. Scientific method is carried out based on a set of general principles in a fixed sequence of steps. But all the steps of one scientific method may not be taking place in every other scientific method. They will vary from one method to other based on the context and concept of the enquiry that is made to check a particular hypothesis in its specific area of research.
There are 5 steps in any scientific method of research. They are formulation of equation, hypothesis, prediction, testing and analysis.
Formulation of equation involves the observation of the naturally occurring phenomena and seeking the reasoning behind those phenomena in a logically convincing way. This stage is usually involving the readings of previously conducted experimental evidences, personal scientific observations and the analysis of the works of other scientists. If the answer is available readily for the asked question then any new question can be made based on the given answer for the first question.

A hypothesis is a conjecture based on the knowledge obtained while formulating a question. hypothesis main explain any given behaviour. Hypothesis can be very specific or broad also. The terms that are commonly associated in the statistical hypotheses are null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis. A null hypothesis is the conjecture that the statistical hypothesis is false. The alternative hypothesis is the desired outcome. Scientific hypothesis must be falsifiable which refers that one can identify a possible outcome of an experiment that conflicts with predictions deduced from the hypothesis otherwise it cannot be meaning fully tested.
Production involves the determining of the logical consequences of the hypothesis. One or more predictions are selected for further testing. Ideally the prediction must also distinguish the hypothesis from likely alternatives.
Testing is investigation of how the real world behaves as predicted by the hypothesis. Scientists will carry out the experiments to test the hypothesis. If the results of the experiments agree the predictions of the hypothesis then the confidence in the hypothesis increase otherwise it will decrease. Experiments always depend on several hypothesis. Experiments can be can be done in any workplace based on the convenience of scientist.
Analysis of experiments involves determining offer what the results of the experiment have soon and deciding on what next actions have to take place. The predictions of the hypothesis or compared to those of the null hypothesis to determine which one is the better to be able to explain the given data obtained by the experiment. The statistical analysis can be made if the experiment has been carried out in repeated times. If the results of the experiments have falsified the hypothesis then there is a need of new hypothesis. If the results of the experiment supports the already given hypothesis but the evidence is not that strong enough for the higher level of confidence then and other predictions from the hypothesis also will be tested. Once a hypothesis is strongly supported by the evidences that are given out by the experiments then any question can be asked to provide further insights on the same topic. the experiences and the evidences from other scientists are also frequently Incorporated at any stage in the process of analysis. Depending on on the complexity of the experiment many iterations may be required which will gather sufficient evidence that can answer a question with the higher level of confidence or to build up many answers to highly specific questions in order to answer a single broader question
Example: deducing the structure of the DNA by Watson and Crick.
