Answer #1

In aas the atoms are detected in their ground state not in their excited state, like in atomic emission analysis (AES),Because far more atoms are configured in the ground state hence , this method is more sensitive in detecting elements than AES .Atomic absorption spectroscopy is a method that allows accurate quantitative determinations of many samples. Since the method based on the specific energy absorption by free atoms, it can usually be used without isolation steps of other elements present in the sample. AAS is a spectro-analytical method used in Chemistry where the energy absorbed by atoms is measured. Aes is a similar technique to AAS that measures the energy emitted by the atomic species under investigation.
