answer-

Worker's compensation is a program for workers in which they get monetary benefits if they get injured during the course of thier job or employment. It is important because every employer is legally obligated to safeguard its employees at workplace by providing safe working environment. Employers should make sure that their employees are safe, sound and healthy.

Worker's compensation motivates employees to get assurance that if anything happens then they will be compensated. as we study in Maslow's theory that saftey needs are important and motivate people so this same goes to worker's compensation in which it makes worker feel insured and secured.in other words, worker feel that their health and future is secured by this program if any accident or uncertiain event happens.

Findings-

New Jersey law indicates that the requirements are as follows:

  • The employee’s injury took place while he or she was performing a job.
  • The employee’s injury was too serious to be treated with basic first aid.
  • The employee receives a standard paycheck that has taxes deducted each pay period.

extra -New Jersey workers’ comp coverage offers advantages to both employers and employees. For employees, it provides:

  • Financial assistance for reasonable medical services necessary for treatment
  • Temporary disability benefits to replace lost wages
  • Permanent disability benefits for long-term injuries or illness
  • Death benefits, including burial expenses, if the employee dies as a result of an on-the-job injury

For employers, workers’ comp insurance typically covers financial liability and the cost of legal representation.

Failure to carry appropriate workers’ comp insurance for your business can result in penalties that range from administrative fines to criminal charges as severe as fourth-degree felonies.

The financial penalties are up to $5,000 for the first 20 days of noncompliance and up to $5,000 for each 10-day period thereafter. These penalties are delivered in the form of liens against the employer, and prosecution is through seizure of property.
