Answer:
Human resource management(HRM)- This is the strategic approach of the management to make his employees work in an effective and efficient manner to achieve organizational goals. This can be a competitive advantage of the company to make efficient use of them. The purpose of HRM is recruiting, selecting, training, compensation, motivation, communication, and administration. HRM is used for making strategies, planning and forecasting workforce, performance appraisal, making policies for employees benefits, maintain industrial relation and risk management. The use of HRM is for all three levels that are top management making rules and policies, second in managerial level planning and serving managerial duties and at the operational level that is training and supervision, counseling, grievance handling, compensation, etc.
Human resource management evolution is not new but the modification of personnel management. In the traditional way, personnel management used to handle all these responsibilities but there was the main difference in the attitude towards employees. As employees were just considered to be the workers who were paid to d work but now the concept has changed and companies are becoming more concerned about the Human assets they are employees. Although this concept involves many stages like industrial revolution, trade union, scientific management in which Henry Fayol and F.W Taylor gave some great contribution, behavioural science and human relations and then personnel management and in the last Human resource management was replaced. The people involved in these researches and in the theories believed that employees are also important for organizational success.
Human resource management is not just recruiting employees and paying them for their work but now the concept has experienced some paradigm shift. Some important power lies in the hands of HRM like Manpower selection, Making policies, Forecasting, Training and development, industrial relation etc. This is being assumed that globally Human Resource Management sector can project to reach $30 billion by 2025. Now the technical and business marketing knowledge is not sufficient to grow but the role of Human Resource in planning and making strategic growth is equally important.
Therefore, Human resource future is in progress and always will be in priority as Employee are assets of the company. If they will be happy they will be more productive and their willingness to work will increase and will help to achieve organisational goal.
