Explanation:

Phineas Gage unfortunately got a head injury in an accident. A metal rod damaged his head and particularly damaged the left frontal lobe. After that injury, he lived the rest of life with mental disorders. Scientists had performed a case study on him. In that case study, they found that injury to the brain causes changes in behavior and specific brain areas are linked to particular behaviors.
