• Conflict theory focuses on gender stratification,dividing men and women in dominant and subordinate groups respectively.The role of women in society is determined by this divide which has always been inferior to men.This theory focuses upon the inequalities created between the powerful and weak,based upon more resources been given to the men than women.
• Women have lack of resources interms of jobs,education,family property rights etc.,which is why they suffer from poverty more than men.Feminist theory also expands upon conflict theory by taking into account the male patriarchy system which has dominated our societies over centuries.The opinions of men have always been considered more important than women,women have always been silenced,even to the extent,that they had to fight for their voting rights as well.Racism also affects black women more,especially in finding jobs,and they suffer from violence more than any other race.
• Marginalization of women always taken place and which is why it still makes them having an inferior role in the society,still giving them less opportunities to hold high positions and providing same pay as men.Women are still stuck in their gender stereotypical roles of being a caregiver despite the wave of feminism.They still havent gotten the status they deserve.
