Answer #1

Animal behaviour can be taken as a criterion to figure out the status of ecosystem. For example, frogs are not seen in ponds, lakes and other water bodies as we had seen in older days. The disappearance and the lack of the mating calls of male frogs are indications of the change in ecosystem and the necessity for its conservation. Frogs are less in number because of the changes in the water canal systems, lakes, catching frogs for laboratory studies as specimen etc.

Human activities like, poaching, wildlife trading, habitat destruction, and fragmentation, and introduction of invasive species etc. can cause disturbances to ecosystems. So the animal behaviour is a good indicator for the need of conservation of the ecosystems.
