In DNA the sugar present is deoxy ribose because it lacks oxygen at 2nd carbon.

In RNA five carbon sugar present is ribose and it has oxygen at 2nd carbon and that is why RNA is more sensitive to oxidation and gets degraded very rapidly than DNA.
