Experimental manipulation research is a systematic and scientific approach which is generally used when the researchers want to look into cause and effect relationship.

it is done by manipulating of a particular situation/ event for groups of individuals who are equivalent, followed by a measurement of the effect of that manipulated experience.

Example: to asses the effect of watching violent video games on aggressive behavior.

One group of Participants were made to watch an aggressive video game(manipulating independent variable) while the other was made to watch non aggressive movie.
