The team my was a part of was the management team McDonald’s. This team with made up four Department managers. The characteristics that our team displayed were clarity of purpose and good communication. Clarity of purpose came into play when we work together so that everyone can meet the goals to obtain our bonuses. We used good communication because when one fell short everyone else picked up the slack and we ensure that we tracked our goals and made plans to reach them. The team members were chosen by upper management based on our work ethic and skill set. I believe upper management assembling this team made us successful because they strategically moved individuals to different locations and assigned all roles to produce efficient team. One time our team faced a conflict with one of us is were not on track to meeting our objective. Our everyone had to brainstorm and to strategize how we could help the person meet the goal even though it had nothing to do with us as an individual

Yes! for any team to prosper it is important for team members to learn being more innovative in their thoughts by applying real world examples while finding solutions. Simple brainstorming is not important, but generating ideas feasible in recent competitive world is what matters. Moreover, strong communication along with self direction and inner motivation to achieve targets is what should be present in team to form effective team. Also, merely assigning roles to employees by top management is not enough, their full involvement with team and sincere efforts to make it work successfully is what will help meet competitive edge over others in the long run.
