A vision statement provides a very specific description of what
the future will look like for an individual or an
organization.
In the reading for this module, we learned about the leadership
practice of inspiring a shared vision. Before posting to this
discussion, make sure that you have updated the “Inspiring a Shared
Vision” column in your Leadership Development Action Plan document
to show how you will use the concepts you have learned to improve
each of the leadership areas you identified in Module One.
Once you have updated your leadership development action plan,
respond to the following:
I want to start a healthcare in near future. The vision statement of the healthcare will be to become the leading healthcare provider in the USA, known for its quality and affordability, by the year 2022.
I really admire the Hersey and Blanchard’s situational leadership model. This model suggests that there is no specific style followed by a leader of an organization. The leader needs to mold his leadership style as the gravity of the situation, faced by the organization, demands. The characteristics of leadership style may also depend on the maturity of the followers. In my views, this leadership style will be the most effective in facilitating the vision and strategic objectives of my healthcare company. Responding by adapting to situations would make every situation favorable for my company, thereby increasing its overall effectiveness. This way, my healthcare will grow and become a leading brand by 2022.
