1. According to WHO, obesity is defined as the excessive fat accumulation in the body of an individual which can cause serious health issues. BMI ratio of 30 or more than 30 is considered as obese. Types of obesity include class I, class II and class III.

BMI of 30.0-34.9 is considered under class I obesity. BMI of 35.0 to 39.9 is class II obesity and class III obesity includes BMI of more than 40.

1/3 Americans come under the obese category due to consumption of large portions of fast foods and performs little or no exercise. Fast foods have excessive amount of sugar and added fats which are contributing factors of obesity.
