Atherosclerosis is a disease in which there is a thickening of arteries and hardening of arteries wall. Molecule which create this condition is cholesterol, and other lipids.

When this diseases , immediate medical intervention need as with time being it is progress and may result in the death of patient.

How it starts?

As we know that one disease is responsible for the evolution of other disease. E.g. Diabetes is majorly responsible for the progress of this diseases including high BP , very poor or unhealthy life style, consumption of high level of fat continuing diet.

Cholesterol is a important constitutuent for atherosclerosis means any imbalance in metabolism or any defect in its bio cycle result in atherosclerosis.

We know that we have two type of cholesterol i.e. bad and good cholesterol. High density cholesterol is good but low density is bad as it's high level deposited inside the inner wall of arteries and day by day due to its deposition wall of arteries become harder and harder.

Some infection like Chlamydia Pneumonia responsible for the atherosclerosis due deposition of lipids and blockage of arteries.

Infection causes inflammation of arteries wall due to which it get damage , in damage part LDL getting deposit which produce blockage of arteries.
