Independent study techniques or self directed study can be extremely rewarding for students.
the learning contract is an agreement between instructor and student.
The learning contract should include the following:
1. Objective : What are you going to learn?
2. Resources and strategies : How are you going to learn it?
3. Target : date for completion
4. Evidence : How are you going to know that you learned it?
5. Verification : How are you going to prove that you learned it?
6. Evaluation : faculty member feedback.
