Malaria is caused by the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. This in recent years has been a burden worldwide. Some of the burden are

  • The cost involved in treating the disease
  • Time spent on caring for the patients even in the home.
  • Economic status has been a great issue
  • In countries like Africa most people are poor and cannot afford treatment
  • The high prevalence of death globally is due to malaria
  • more than half million infant death occurs due to malaria globally
  • environment is also a major factor.

The campaign named United against Malaria was named global campaign and whose responsibility was to prevent and spread awareness on Malaria worldwide. It aides in access for medication,program for vaccination. The funds are raised through the Standard bank and Global fund
