• Pain is a distress feeling due to damaging stimuli.
• Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional feeling along with tissue damage or cell damage.
• Acute pain- which starts suddenly

Chronic pain- that last for longer duration

• Pain makes a person to protect damaged part , or avoid similar experiences.
• When we feel pain sensory receptors send message through nerve fibres to spinal cord and brain stem and finally to brain.and thus pain is perceived.
• People react to pain based on age,gender, intensity of pain ,site of pain etc.Some could bare pain while others can't even bear a slight pain.
