Stroke in simple term refers to lack or inadequate blood supply to the brain.

Ischemic stroke

When there is a clot, blockage or narrowing of blood vessels the blood supply to the brain are interrupted,this affects the brain cells within minutes.This causes irreversible dama.This immediately causes symptoms like slurred speech,blackout, blurred vision,severe headache, altered speech, facial grimace change weakness.

Hemorrhagic stroke

A similar state occurs by a block or a clot in the blood vessels of brain ceasing the blood supply along with this there is greater pressure exerted on the walls of blood vessels which leads to rupture and bleeding.The cells which are damaged because of bleeding loses its function resulting in symptoms . This can be categorized in the "FAST" symptoms for easy diagnosis
