1. Describe pain according to your understanding of pain and how do people usually react toward pain? ( more details and more explain)
2. In your opinion, which one of the pain theories you have learned describes pain most? Why? ( more details and more explain)
Pain is an unpleasant feeling cause by the noxious or damaging stimuli and gets resolved once the noxious stimuli is removed or the body gets healed. Pain can be acute that gets resolved very quickly or chronic that can last for a very long time. Pain is perceived by the brain. Two types of drugs are used in pain: analgesic and anesthetic. Pain is usually helpful in making the body alert to some damage.
The body responds to the pain by activation of nociceptors (receptors on the surface of nerve endings) in response to the noxious stimuli which is then transformed into a nerve impulse.
