Quality improvement in hospital plays a vital role in improving effective patient care and helps employees to maintain compliance with the quality performance and standard protocols in daily practice. The quality service in health care involves accuracy,consistency,timeliness,efficiency, orderly and responsiveness. The common approaches in the health care to maintain quality indices are by obtaining licensure, accreditation, certification.

The hospital quality committee includes

Medical administrator, Infection control committee, Senior consultants, Senior Nurses, Senior technicians, Hospital administrator.

Each members in the quality improvement committee strives hard to maintain quality indices. Hospital administrator took responsible to plan the objectlves of each person and to derive short term and long term goals. PDCA cycle followed by administrator ( plan,do,check and act)

Infection control members keep an eye over the infectious rate in all units by ensuring strict practice and compliance of alll workers regarding standard safety precautions, hand washing technique, biomedical waste segregation.

Nurses in the committee helps to identify the proper performance of nursing procedure, administering medications with out any error, to improve quality in Heth care.
