It is true that Metamorphic rocks are typically denser and resistance to physical weathering than other rock types they would seem to be ideal as a building material as metamorphic rocks are tightly packed and slippery in nature which easily saves it from any weathering process.
Regardless of all these specialties, Metamorphic rock is not commonly used for building material because it is not tightly packed and slippery in nature while cementing and this will make the building vulnerable from any disaster. Due to its compact nature, it would be tough to make a grip between the bricks of a building and that's why metamorphic rocks are not preferred as a building material.
