Witmer found a different branch namely clinical psychology and started the first of a psychology clinic, where he look into matters concerning children. He worked with children facing problems like in speech or even with motor or learning disorders.
He performed rudimentary tests and applied various experimental principles in the diagnosis and prognosis of those problems. Also, he adopted different techniques for the same. Special educational conditions were created for the treatment purpose. This happened before World War II.
After World War II, psychotherapy was used in practice. Also, functionalist approach was applied. Psychological analysis was applied to business matters like in the field of marketing and engineering.
