Problem

Using the indicated loading, specify the lightest standard wide-flange beam shape (W-shape) that will limit the stress due to bending to the allowable design stress from the AISC specification. All loads are static and the beams are made from ASTM A992 structural steel. Each problem number is the same as the corresponding figure number.
