Senior leadership skills are important to promote healthy living
for the aging population. senior leadership provides support and
training in the advocacy for livable communities. senior leadership
training will include community organization, leadership
development with interest in aging demographics for housing,
medical needs, and safety. Advocacy for health and long term
service for the aged population supports the older adults in the
living community. community-based interventions as health care
programs for older adults should include their needs in their
chronic disease, mental illness, physical disability and
co-morbidities it should focus on determinants of adequate
nutrition, clothing, and shelter, adequate health insurance system
to cover the needs of older adults in the facility.
community based geriatric health care program with the
comprehensive policy should include medical aspects and other
determinants. the community-based program can address the needs of
the older adults including a wellness program, educational program,
volunteer program that can target older adults' needs through
federal funds for social service programs. these programs are
managed by the center for Medicaid and Medicare services to help
older adults to access benefits through Medicaid.
