Urinary incontinence:- Urinary incontinence is loss of bladder control, varying from a slight loss of urine after sneezing, coughing and laughing ,to complete inability to control urination.

Or

Urinary incontinence is also known as involuntary urination is any uncontrolled leakage of urine.

Classification of urinary incontinence is as follows:-

- Urge incontinence:- due to an overactive bladder.

- stress incontinence:- due to poor closure of the bladder.

- Overflow incontinence:- due to either poor bladder contraction or blockage of the urethra.

- Functional incontinence:- due to medications or health problems.

Treatment options that are available for the urinary incontinence are as follows:-

- Behavioral therapy,

- lifestyle changes,

- Medications like fesoterodine, tolterodine, and oxybutynin.

- Exercise like kegel exercises, bladder training etc.

- Surgeries like transvaginal mesh implants, bladder suspension, tension free vaginal tape etc.

- Devices like :- indwelling catheters, intermittent catheters, and fixer occluder devices.
