1)Administer 2 tablets of 50 mg Demerol P.O (by mouth).

2)Pepcid(Famotidine) is available in oral suspension 40 mg/5 ml. So, administer 2.5 ml.

but in case of 40 mg/ml, then i would administer 0.5 ml PO.

3)500 ml per hour of 0.9% normal saline is administered

4)Gentamycin is not taken orally due to poor absorption from gut. So, it is given through IV or IM.

1.75 ml of gentamycin (80 mg/2 ml) is administered i.v to get the desired strength 70mg per dose.

5)Trade name is AMOXIL

6)Generic name is amoxicillin

250mg/5ml syrup is equivalent to 2 capsules(125 mg)

7) Administer 2.5 ml of 250 mg/5 ml syrup 4th hourly to get desired strength that is 125 mg 4th hourly.
