Controlling cigarette smoking among women aged 15-24.

Health promotion:-

We can control cigarette smoking by educating women aged between 15-24. Health education can play a vital role in controlling smoking.

Health education should involve serious health effects of smoking and the benefits of quit smoking.

Targeted protection:-

Protect young women from smoking by proving the evidence-based prevention approach.

Identify the target group who are in the risk of smoking as well as who already make smoking as their daily habit. Try to prevent or control smoking by reducing peer pressure and environmental factors.

Primary prevention:-

It includes risk reduction and specific protection.

women aged between 15-24, who are in risk group of smoking we can educate them regarding the health issues of smoking and advise them to stop smoking before the occurrence of any health-related problems.

By smoking cessation, we can able to reduce the risk of morbidity and mortality rates of lung cancer.

Secondary prevention:-

Screening of the women age between 15-24, and identify smokers.

Early diagnosis and prompt treatment is the main objective of this stage.

we have to screen the targeted population and diagnose health-related problems and diseases before the occurrence of severe damage to the body due to smoking.

Tertiary prevention:-

Tertiary prevention includes stopping the diseases related to smoking and prevents further complications by the cessation of smoking. To stop smoking we can use nicotine replacement therapy and psychological therapy.
