There are many different aspects of how nutrition affects or causes disease states. For this discussion, I would like you to examine a specific disease and comment on the different nutritional aspects affecting the disease that you choose. There are several short descriptions of some of these diseases in your textbook. Cardiovascular disease and diabetes are just two examples of such diseases. Some diseases, such as phenylketonuria, are caused by a genetic defect but can be treated easily be dietary changes. I look forward to these discussions!
