Examination of the Abdomen :- * Positioning :- Position of the patient should be comfortable. The patient to lie down and expose the patient's abdomen * Inspection - Note the general contour of the - abdomen. * Ausculation - Auscultation of the abdomen should be performed prior to percussion and palpation, as physical manipulation of the abdomen may induce a change in bowel sounds * Percussion - Determine the size and location of intra-abdominal organs. * Palpation. To evaluate internal organe f identity any source of pain. o Süperficial or abdonunal wall processes O Assessing in pra-abdominal Organs. o Monitorildg the palpation of the inguinal lymph - nodes. * It is easy to assess the adult patient as compared to children. It is important to encourage the child to follow the instructions. Making them feel more comfortable during the assesment. Make children in supine position, with the abdomen completely exposed.'
