Please, how could you rewrite or paraphrase these 2 sentences:

1) “A limitation to this study would be that there is only 24 couples participating which could skew the data. Another limitation to the study is that they only tracked the couples for 2 months which is not a long time to see how if the therapy really worked, it may take longer than 2 months.”

2) “This study is relevant since it provides a p value, and since the p value is very low, it shows that the results are significant and that depression is related to levels of social support. A way to improve this study could be to survey a larger sample size and different age groups.”

Answer #1

1) This research study has certain limitations as follows;

a) The number of couples participated in this study are only 24. Research on such a small group could result in a skewed data. The sample size is very small in this study.

b) These 24 couples were tracked only for 2 months. This shorter duration of the study is not an adequate period to determine whether the therapy was actually effective or not. In order to determine the effectiveness or the physiological actions of the therapy, the duration of the study should be more than 2 months.

2) Even though the study has the above mentioned limitations, this study provides a p value which indicate the relevance of the study. From the obtained very low p value, it is certain that the results are significant and thus can reach into the conclusion that depression is related to levels of social support.

Suggestions for Improvement

a) Conduct survey on a larger sample size

b) Conduct survey on different age groups.

A limitation that stood out to me the most in this study would be the sample size only being 167, although it is a good thing to have a wide range of ages 8 to 17, only having 167 doesn't really provide the best results or a...

And it is more difficult to determine that difference in severity and thus ability to have capacity and make your own decisions. Someone may be showing intense signs of depression, but...
