Health Communication is the study of verbal and written strategies promoting health information to help individuals,populations and communities make healthier choices.This helps people to develop positive health attitude and behaviour.
Population health is health outcome of a group of individuals including the distribution of such outcomes in the group.These include Health outcomes,pattern of health determinants, and policies and intervention.
So according to both the definitions it obvious good or improved health communications like using health campaigns, health education as communication strategies, the overall population health can be improved.So effective Health communication can affect population health directly.
So obviously Health communication and population health are connected.As Health communication mainly helps in improving health literacy among people ,People become more aware anf take adequate preventive measures.As public health campaign or health education or one to one discussion between medical personnel and patient or medical conferences-all these channels of health communication appeals to mass awareness including individual health literacy population, health standard rises in very less time.So health communication is an effective tool in improving population health .
