- As I stated before, I have formulated my philosophy of nursing from the decades and centuries of nurses that came before me. Many of which have created theories of nursing based on their very own philosophies. The theories that have guided my philosophy the most are Martha Rodgers, Madeleine Leininger, and Lydia Hall. Rodgers’ theory put emphasis on the “science and art and nursing , with the unitary human being central to the discipline of nursing” (Talyor, Lynn, & Bartlett 2019). Leininger focused on caring as the “central theme of nursing care, knowledge, and practice” (Taylor, Lynn, & Bartlett, 2019). Although, Hall’s Care, Cure, Core Theory reflex’s my philosophy most. The primary purpose of the care is to achieve the interpersonal relationship with a person to assist the development of the core (Gonzalo, 2019). I believe nurses must establish a healthy insightful relationship with every patient, and that relationship will positively impact the cor, as well as help to find the source and cure the diseases or problem The core is the patient and their holistic needs that are in nurses scope of practice. Hall had established this theory to describe the role of the nurse and made the connection between the disease, the patient and nurse. Her theory connects significantly to my philosophy’s main idea, as I believe that patient and nurse relationships bring out the best practice of nursing.
