Metabolic syndrome: individual is said to be having this if he has 3 or more of following 5.

1.Abdominal obesity- waist circumference:>40inch in male. >36 inch in female.

2 Triglycerides :>150mg/dl.

3.HDL:<40mg/dl in male and <50 mg/dl in female

4.SBP:>130 mm hg and DBP:>85 mm hg.

5.FBG:(fsasting blood glucose) >100mg/dl.

Based on these data we can tell that:

1.female-she is having normal values and no metabolic syndrome.

2.male-having normal values and no metabolic syndrome.

3.male:has all values abnormal. Hence has metabolic syndrome.

4.female:has all values abnormal. Hence has metabolic syndrome.
