Five carbohydrate-related dietary strategies to promote health and well-being.

  • Fiber-rich fruits and vegetables

Whole and fresh fiber-rich fruits and vegetables contain no added sugar and consuming it will satisfy your appetite with fewer calories.

  • Whole grains

Whole grains have B vitamins and fiber.

  • Low-fat dairy products

Low - fat dairy products like yogurt, milk, etc contain calcium, vitamins, minerals, and proteins with fewer calories and no sugar and fat.

  • Legumes

Legumes have less fat but high folate, potassium, magnesium, iron, fat, and fiber. They are also a good source of protein. Beans, peas, lentils, etc. come under the category of legumes.

  • Low intake of packed sugar contents.

Make sure to omit added sugar which is of no benefit to the body. Example canned juices, sugary desserts, etc
